Baby Lights

Tree decorated with all 796 baby names

Heart Sadie Cramer - Sign Denise Gormley
This event was called by Amanda Larkin (daughter of survivor, Carmel Larkin) in response to the fact that, despite it being a full year since the site had initial excavations, nothing has been done. She wanted to highlight the fact that survivors are still waiting for their requests to be met and that 796 baby bodies and four mothers still remain unaccounted for.

A healing day with music, art and poetry, the sun shone as survivors reminded us about their ongoing quest for justice
as did the siblings of those buried at this illegal burial plot.

'Baby lights,' said a small toddler as he sat on the wall gazing at the amber glow.
And he was exactly right💛

These candles were at Belfast City Hall, the site in Tuam during the Pope's visit last year, Letterfack Industrial School graveyard (all night vigil). Two went to a vigil in London for Peter Tyrell's anniversary and the rest were burnt all night in Tuam on Sunday August 25th. With love Xx

Root medicine

Most medicine is held in the roots.
Time to look at the root cause of the problem, be it spiritual, psychological, emotional or physical

#healing #rootcause #roots

What to expect in a healing session

One to one, relaxed, sacred space with a loving vibe. We (you and I) do it together with the help of Great Spirit, the Universe, Source whatever you want to call it.

BodyMind Balancing forms part of the session and is a comprehensive, holistic, treatment which combines aspects of Chinese medicine, kinesiology and hatha yoga. It is a simple, safe, non-invasive technique which treats ’disease’ on all levels by re-establishing communications between the systems within the body and mind, restoring equilibrium, and promoting good health.
Our bodies have the innate ability to heal themselves, and BodyMind Balancing will greatly assist this process. "Optimum health lies in the connectedness between the heart and brain," said Helen Bolger of the BodyMind Balancing Association. "The BodyMind complex is a series of systems that need clear communication channels between them in order to maintain harmony and health."
We are a sophisticated field of electromagnetic energy; the heart being the strongest generator of that energy. Nothing happens internally without an exchange between the systems, cells, and atoms — they are in constant communication with each other. However, due to the stresses of everyday life, these communications can become compromised, resulting in illness.
How does it work?
By means of dowsing/muscle testing (a pendulum is used) BodyMind Balancing identifies, isolates, and targets where the body is compromised. This determines where healing needs to occur.
BodyMind Balancing addresses many disorders including general physical dysfunctions, immunity problems, emotional issues, thinking/conditioning patterns, and energy imbalances.
Having been a recipient of BodyMind Balancing for almost 20 years and seeing the profound benefits on her self, her husband, and their four children, Sadie Cramer decided to study BodyMind Balancing and set up a practice of her own. She has a background in fine art sculpture and has facilitated hundreds of workshops/projects and delivered courses/presentations to adults and children all over Ireland. Blending the creative with the meditative, she explores the subconscious in order to promote self-healing and expression, thereby accessing personal freedom and potential.

796 Mothers

796 babies each had a mother and it's the mothers that are on my mind today as we prepare for tomorrow's event at the Tuam Babies illegal burial plot.

What kind of circumstances led to their pregnancies?
Where were the fathers in all of this?
Who were the fathers?
How many pregnancies were the results of incest or rape?
An older lady shocked me recently by saying glibly that 'it was nothing to take a girl against her will in those days.'
The men she knew, thought nothing of it.
How disturbing is that?

How many of those mothers carried the trauma of the pregnancy, subsequent birth and final release of their babies the rest of their lives?

How many of those women never had another baby because the trauma of losing the first was too great?

How many women went on to overcompensate with numerous babies afterwards?

And just how many women died whilst in confinement?

How many?

Not just in Ireland but all over Europe from the 1920's -90's 💔

The McCoy report

Very difficult reading but we must NOT forget what happened and in some cases, is still happening, in religious run instutuitons. It is very evident what was not said. Read between the lines and see for yourself who still remains protected by the authorities.

The McCoy Report is an eight-year (1999-2007) inquiry by Dr Elizabeth Healy and Dr Kevin McCoy into the Brothers of Charity Order's "Holy Family School" in GalwayIreland, and two other locations. The Report was published by the Health Service Executive in December 2007

Don't give up on the babies

One year on and nothing done

Last year, during the Pope's visit, thousands of people from all over Ireland, hung pairs of baby shoes at significant religious sites and institutions. Provoking memory and emotion surrounding those who died and survived during their time of supposéd 'care' in religious run institutions. The image of tiny baby shoes hanging from black ribbons was a stark reminder of the constant denial and cover up we are faced with as a society. And that this atrocity happened to the MOST vulnerable in our communities.
One year on, despite the initial excavation results at Tuam revealing, that indeed, there are remains of children and infants at the illegal burial plot under and all over the playground site at the housing estate. Let that just sink in for a minute. People actually live there. The playground is used everyday. Nothing has progressed. The bodies remain where they have been since the news broke over five years ago.
796 tiny bodies still remain unaccounted for.
Four women are still missing in relation to this Mother and Baby hell hole.
What the FUCK is going on?
The poster above shows a shoe which was found at the site after the initial excavation and is an actual finding documented in a State report by the official archaeologists.
This is the harsh reality of what's actually buried at the site in Tuam.
The skeletal remains were also photographed but redacted (obviously) from other images in the report.
So, we have evidence that there are bodies and that this is an illegal burial ground but
Where's the outrage?
Where's the action?
Where's the support?
Where's the local and national conversation?

A single, child's blue shoe, lies discarded in the muck.
And that's the ugly image that remains.
Get them out of there!!!!!

Please support those fighting for justice and the TRUTH

Birds of Heaven - Ben Okri

The pain of what happened in Irish religious run institutions is so recent and so great, that it's still the most difficult thing for Ireland as a nation to get in touch with.

Vigil and memorial for Peter Tyrrell

With the results of Wednesday's 5th Interim report into the atrocities that took place in Mother and Baby Homes all over Ireland, this event is very timely. Peter Tyrell suffered horrific abuse in Letterfrack Industrial School and carried it with him until he ended his life on Hampstead Heath in 1967.
'One day I will go to Hampstead Heath...
I will stand for a long time;
Weep that it took so long for his match to spark a revolution.' Connie Roberts.
Please join us on Friday April 26th, gathering at Hampstead Heath @ 7pm.
