Warwick Goble

By Warwick Goble

Warwick Goble was born on 22 November 1862 in Dalston, North East London. The son of a commercial traveller, Goble studied first at the City of London School and then at the Westminster School of Art. He illustrated numerous books including: The Water Babies by Charles Kingsley(1909) The War of the Worlds by H.G Wells and the book of Faery Poetry by D.Owen. Not much seems to be documented about his life, although he was a keen sportsman but his beautiful work speaks volumes.
