Latest logo

Here's a logo I've just finished for the wonderful Geraldine Monaghan who runs the Holistic Rainbow Clinic in Co.Galway. Geraldine has many healing gifts and is well worth visiting, should you need some energy work on yourself or indeed your home. Having undergone a treatment and a house clearance for geopathic stress and lay lines. I can't recommend Geraldine enough. Wishing this lovely lady continued to success with an already established and thriving business.

Sketch book stuff

Here's a rough which has a certain sculptural quality I haven't entertained for a while... It doesn't have to go any further, but it's nice to think about something large scale and the possibility of it springing up out of the roof of a public building or someone's head on a hat.

Pink puddle

We live in a wee bolt hole at the edge of Lough Corrib, so everyday, without fail, we get to experience the many moods of the lake. I nearly always look at the water itself, the low minimal horizon line and the colour of the ever changing sky and feel very grateful to live in such a place. Puddles don't usually figure, as they're nearly always viewed as a nuisance(water filled potholes), but the children had such fun sploshing about the other day and the resulting reflections just caused a little shift in my view point.

Yay - puddle power!

Finding the story

I've wanted to do a creative writing course for sometime but was never drawn to any particular one. Last year #NessaO'Mahony ran a course at the writers centre andI didn't get there. Yesterday, however, I couldn't believe my luck when I actually found myself sitting in a room with fourteen others, embarking on this new adventure. It's quite a scary process to read what you've just written aloud to a group of strangers, knowing there are mistakes, but hey, looking forward to the challenge and moving out of my comfort zone.

BaborĂ³ exhibition piece

This panel was created by 160 children (2 boards each) for #BaborĂ³ International Arts festival for Children in 2011. Kilcoona National School was the recipient of the inaugural 'Above and Beyond' award and this piece was exhibited at the Children's Gallery (a 'pop up' shop in Headford) and Galway City library. We're delighted it's finally found it's permanent home in the school hall for all to enjoy.
